The concept of Knowledge Management (KM) has gained more and more attention in recent years. The study of KM has become a hot topic in both the academic environment and the business sector.  The booming development of KM seems to guarantee the need of offering KM related courses in the University.  As a result, the Knowledge Management Certificate Program is established to meet the need.

This program is a collaborative effort.  It was proposed and planned by the Department, the Industrial and Business Management Department, Information Management Department and Information Engineering Department and is implemented since 2001.  Students who have taken “Introduction to Computer Science” or related courses (if the course is a full year course, students at least have to take the first semester) are permitted to apply the program.
