NTU LIS faculty and students were at the 12th Cross-Strait Conference on Library and Information Studies in Tianjin, China from July 6th-8th, 2014. NTU Library Director Dr. Hseuh-Hua Chen and her students, Yi-Yun Cheng and Li-Min Huang , presented two papers on the application of ontology in GIS and academic library funding. NTU LIS Director Dr. Shanju Lin Chang and four other students , , also attended the conference. The conference theme is broad enough to encompass various topics in LIS, and students revealed that this experience broaden their knowledge in the field of LIS, and they enjoyed the Tianji Library tour as well as the historic city tour.
